PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a magnetic core due to handling by handling the magnetic core in the state of an annular magnetic body very strong with respect to structure and working the magnetic core with a non-mechanical method after fixing it to a strong holding body. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower end parts of an inverted C-shaped ferrite block 2 are allowed to face the end part of a ferrite block 2 and are bonded there with a glass to form a gap part 3 for write and read, and these blocks 1 and 2 from an annular magnetic body 5 together with a connection part 4. The annular magnetic body 5 is fixed to a slide block 7 together with reinforcing plates 61 and 62 by an adhesive to form a slider preparatory body 8. In this state, the connection part 4 between ferrite blocks 1 and 2 of the slider preparatory body 8 is cut by a laser scriber. A slide block 9 is fixed to the preparatory body 8 by adhesion, and a ferrite block 11 where a coil 10 is wound around a recessed part of the slide block 9 is held by a holding spring 12.
