PURPOSE:To improve the solidified structure of casting bloom, to reduce the center segregation and to improve the mechanical properties of a product, by stirring lower part electromagnetic stirrer under the specific condition. CONSTITUTION:In addition to the conventional upper part electromagnetic stirrer (inner mold and/or secondary cooling zone), in the vicinity of casting bloom solidified finishing part, that is, at the position of 20-40% remaining molten steel ratio (non-solidify ratio) to the whole thickness in the casting bloom thickness direction, the electromagnetic force, wherein the stirring force in the solidified interface comes to 5X10<3>-15X10<3>N/m<3>, is given to the casting bloom. In this way, the remaining molten steel is rotated toward horizontal direction, and so the characteristics of the solidified finishing part and V state segregation are improved and the casting bloom having a few center segregation is produced and the mechanical properties of the product is improved. |
