PURPOSE:To enable a device to be uniformly cooled, by providing axis- directional ventilation flues formed between the adjacent core brackets of a spider type rotary shaft, with axis-directional regulating plates for regulating the distribution of air quantity flowing into a plurality of air ducts. CONSTITUTION:On the outer periphery of a rotary shaft 1, rotor cores 3a having a plurality of air ducts 4 via radial brackets 2 are fitted, and axis-directional ventilation passageways 10 between adjacent brackets 2 are provided with axis-directional air guides (regulating plates)11 dividing the passageways 10 into two properly in the diameter direction. The air guides 11 are formed in a concentric-circular shape together with the rotary shaft 1 between the external sector 9 side end surfaces of the brackets 2 and the almost central sections of the rotor cores 3a. As a result, the distribution of air quantity flowing into the air ducts can be regulated, and the internal section of the main unit of the external sector type rotary electric machine of internal air circulating type can be uniformly cooled.
