PURPOSE:To obtain the inexpensive titled film by forming a polymer layer composed of a 5-membered heterocyclic ring compd. or an aniline polymer layer on one or both surfaces of the polarizing film. CONSTITUTION:The titled film is formed by coating at least one surface of the titled film with a solution contg. an oxidizing agent, and subsequently is contacted the obtd. film with the 5-membered heterocyclic ring compd. or aniline gas. The titled film is also formed by sticking the polymer layer composed of the 5-membered heterocyclic ring compd. or the aniline polymer layer which is previously formed to a film on at least one surface of the polarizing film. The used 5-membered heterocyclic ring compd. is exemplified by pyrrole, furan, thiophene, selenophene and derivatives having substituents at 3, 4 positions thereof. The thickness of the 5-membered heterocyclic ring compd. layer or the aniline polymer layer is preferably a range of 50-10,000Angstrom .
