PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body not rising in residual potential under low humidity without adversely affecting photosensitive characteristics by incorporating a biologen compound and an inorganic pigment in an interlayer between a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is formed by laminating the interlayer and the photosensitive layer in succession on the conductive substrate. The interlayer is formed by coating the conductive substrate with a dispersion fluid containing the biologen compound, such as 1,1'-dimethyl-4,4'-dipyridinium dichloride, diiodide, or dibromide, an inorganic pigment, such as titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, zinc sulfide, or white lead, and a binder, preferably, such as polyvinyl acetate or polyacrylic acid, and drying it. The biologen compound is used, preferably, in an amount of 0.1-50pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the binder, and the inorganic pigment is used, preferably, in an amount of 5-1,000pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the binder. |
