PURPOSE:To make sure of the optimum water quantity in accordance with the width of a casting sheet and to improve the quality of the casting sheet, by making water supply into header, which arranges vertically to the water supplying hole of the changeable range of the casting sheet width, possible to switch over, and also executing flow rate control of cooling water. CONSTITUTION:The header 12' is arranged to vertical direction of a cooling pad 8 to the water supplying holes 9 of the range 8 related to the changing for the width of the casting sheet, and the common header is arranged to each one water supplying hole or plural holes. The water supplying pipe to the header 12' is put together into one water supplying pipe for each the vertical direction one line, to lead to an electromagnetic type switch-over box 14. At the time of changing the casting the casting sheet width, a signal from the detector 16, detecting a valiable is transmitted to the electromagnetic type switch-over box 14, a little flow pump and a water supplying pipe are connected by working of a solenoid valve and also the cooling water is regulated to the prescribed water flow by a flow control valve 17. In this way, the control of the cooling water is accurately executed, and the quality of the casting sheet is improved. |
