PURPOSE:To display sufficiently color developing ability of the image, and to enable an excellent storage property to the obtd. image by processing a specific color photosensitive material with a color developer which does not substantially contain benzylalcohol for a short period of <=2.5min. CONSTITUTION:The color photographic sensitive material has <=0.5vol. ratio of an oil component to a hydrophilic colloid contg. in a non-photosensitive layer and contains a compd. shown by the formula in at least one layer. The prescribed material is processed with the color developer which does not substantially contain benzylalcohol for <=2.5min, followed by washing it with water for <=1.5min. In the formula R1-R5 are each hydrogen atom or a substituent group. When a multilayer color sensitive material is processed with color developer which does not substantially contain benzylalcohol, the intermediate layer and the protective layer of the prescribed material takes part in the color developing ability, especially, the vol. ratio of the oil component and the hydrophilic colloid contd. in the layers. Thus, the density of the color image is highly maintained, and the storage property of the color image is improved, and the generation of stain in white background of the color image is remarkably reduced. |
