PURPOSE:To facilitate the inspecting operation of a timepiece body and to diagnose a fault in the sealed state in a case by measuring the width of pulses which drive a stepping motor without contacting a driving circuit. CONSTITUTION:A measuring instrument uses a coil for a magnetic field detector 1, the detected value is amplified 2, and the measurement result of a pulse width measuring means 3 is displayed on a pulse width display device 4. Then, the steep part of a pulse waveform which is the output of a magnetic field detector 1 is decided to measure the pulse width.
