PURPOSE:To always obtain an uniform finish by using a small amt. of developing soln. by using the developing soln. consisting of an aq. soln. contg. a silicate and surface active agent for each sheet of the photosensitive lithographic printing plates to be processed. CONSTITUTION:This method consists in supplying the developing soln. consisting of the aq. soln. contg. the silicate and surface active agent by each sheet of the photosensitive lithographic printing plates to be processed as a uniform liquid film on the photosensitive lithographic printing plates and developing the plates. The silicate includes sodium silicate, potassium silicate, lithium silicate, ammonium silicate, etc. and the concn. thereof is preferably in a 0.5-10wt% range, more particularly preferably in a 1-7wt% range. Dialkylsulfosuccinates, alkyl sulfates and alkylnaphthalene sulfonates are particularly preferably used as the surface active agent and the content thereof is preferably in a 0.001-10wt%, more preferably 0.01-5wt% range and more particularly preferably 0.05-1wt% range. |
