PURPOSE:To enable angle adjustment for a daisy wheel to be extremely easily performed and enhance the degree of freedom of the location of a motor, by disposing an end part of a flange of the motor coaxially with a wheel shaft so that the motor can be turned with the end part as a center. CONSTITUTION:When performing position adjustment, a motor 17 is turned by a predetermined amount with a wheel shaft support 18 as a center. During the adjustment, the distance between the center of turning and the center of a pinion 16 remains unchanged, that is, the distance between the center of a wheel shaft 21 fitted into the support 18 and the center of the pinion 16 is kept constant, so that the meshing condition of a wheel gear 22 and the pinion 16 is kept unchanged. Therefore, only a screw 30 must be untightened in the position adjustment, and favorable operability is ensured. In addition, it is sufficient to provide such a slot 15c that the motor can be turned by an amount corresponding to an adjusting angle of the daisy wheel, and accordingly, the degree of freedom of the location of the motor is enhanced as compared with that in a conventional construction wherein the motor must be turned by several times the adjusting angle of the daisy wheel.
