PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a color mixing and to obtain an image excellent in quality by forming always the developed image of the same color on the photosensitive body surface of the length coincident to the circumferential length of a transferring material supporting body. CONSTITUTION:The circumferential length of a photosensitive body 3 is set to three times of the circumferential length of a transferring drum 7 and further, three parts of a photosensitive body circumferential surface equivalent to one circumference of the transferring drum 7 are respectively contacted to the image forming process of respective clear images of Y, M and C one by one. Namely, in a Y area, respective works of charging, exposing, developing and transferring to form a Y developed image are executed and in both areas of M and C, the above-mentioned respective works to form respective developed images of M and C are respectively executed. Thus, respective developers of the Y, M and C are respectively always stuck only to respective area of the Y, M and C, not stuck to other area, the mixing of the color does not occur between respective colors and permanently, a color image with permanent high quality can be obtained.
