PURPOSE:To convert the shift of the nonstage and stage transmission as desired, and eliminate a difficulty of the load perception at an engine rotation variation or a sense of incongruity at a speed change, by converting the capacity of at least one side of hydraulic pumps or hydraulic motors step by step responding to the engine rotation frequency or the car speed. CONSTITUTION:Hydraulic pumps 2 and 3 are driven by an engine 1, and hydraulic motors 4 and 5 are driven by the exhaust oils. Then, depending on the designation of the stage or nonstage transmission of the speed change mode by a mode converting switch 6, the inclining rotation angle control features of the hydraulic pumps 2, 3 and the hydraulic motors 4, 5 from a memory 9 are read out in a control unit 10. The inclining rotation angle responding to the car speed or the engine rotation frequency is selected, and the selected inclining rotation angle is output to a motor inclining rotation angle actuator 11 and a pump inclining rotation angle actuator 12 as an angle command. Then, the rotation inclinations of the hydraulic pumps 2 and 3, and of the hydraulic motors 4 and 5 are converted to convert the capacities continuously. In such a composition, the shift of the stage and nonstage transmission can be made as desired. |
