PURPOSE:To improve a handling characteristic and to minimize the fear to make clothes and hands dirty by forming in a lump shape to grind and use to a fine powder in accordance with the necessity while an electrophotographic device is assembled. CONSTITUTION:At the upper edge part of a toner hopper 13 equipped with a developing roll 12 at the lower edge part, the developing roll 12 and a grinding roll 14 to synchronize and rotate are provided, and at the grinding roll 14, a rectangular rod-shaped toner block 15 is abutted. At the upper edge part of the toner block 15, a groove 19 for change detecting is formed along the length-wise direction, and a pair of photoelectric switches 20 faced by sandwiching the toner block 15 are arranged at the immediately upper part of the grinding roll 14. Consequently, the toner block 15 is ground, the groove 19 is gradually descended, matches with the beam of the photoelectric switches 20, and then, an alarm lamp lights up and can inform a user of the change period of the toner block 15. |
