PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE SHEET

PURPOSE:To enable the electroless plating of a sheet without requiring complex pretreatment when electric conductivity is provided to the sheet contg. a nonconductive material as the base material by electroless plating, by incorporating a carrier supporting a deposited catalyst into the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A carrier supporting a deposited catalyst is mixed with a slurry of a nonconductive material as the base material of a sheet and the mixture is formed into a sheet. A dispersion liq. prepd. by uniformly dispersing the carrier in a liq. such as water may be impregnated into a formed sheet. The resulting sheet contg. the catalyst is subjected to electroless plating without carrying out any pretreatment to produce an electrically conductive sheet.
