PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of desk debugging by making the programming point easy to catch, especially, on a program list by facilitating the discrimination between a character string and the other part, by searching for a predetermined charac ter string from the character string data outputted from an output device and applying emphasis processing to the part of said character string to output the same. CONSTITUTION:For example, 'AA' is entered in a designated word table as a designat ed word and a character string search part 2 is equipped not only with a pushup stack 4 for referring to the designated word but also with an output route 5 for outputting emphasized character string data and a route 6 for outputting the character data as it is without emphasizing the same. At first, one character data is taken out from input data to be set to the first bite of the stack 4 of the character string search part 2 and, next, the next one character data is taken out from the input data to be set to the second bite of the stack 4. The content of the stack 4 is compared with the designated word data of the designated word table 1 and, when the data of the stack 4 is 'AA', the first and second bites of the stack 4 are successively taken out in a character string replacing part 3 and altered to an emphasized character to be outputted from the output route 5 and the stack 4 is cleared to advance the processing of the next character string data. |
