PURPOSE:To bond a metal sheet to a rigid member with excellent bond strength and long-term stability with time to give a product of high reliability, by bonding a metal sheet on the surface of which a specified spread film has been formed to a rigid member by means of epoxy resin adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A metal sheet 1 and a rigid member 4 are pretreated by ultrasonically degreasing and cleaning in trichloroethylene, and washing the trichloroethylene stabilizing agent with ethanol. A spreading agent comprising a hydroxyl-containing silicone compound [e.g., Sylil (trade name)] and silyl isocyanate is applied on the surface of the pretreated metal sheet 1 to form a spread film 2 of, e.g., a thickness of 0.01-0.02mm. This metal sheet is put together with the pretreated rigid member 4 with an epoxy-resin adhesive layer 3 being put between them, which are left to stand in a thermostated chamber of, e.g., about 100 deg.C for about 30min to harden the adhesive layer 3, thus firmly bonding the metal sheet to the rigid member.
