PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the influence of a fault to the normal part of an information processing system by separating the system itself from a bus when an abnormality is detected in a system working made. CONSTITUTION:A control part 11 of an input/output controller 8 checks the presence or absence of abnormality such as the frequent occurrence of code errors, the absence of answers given from a device of the remote side every time the input/output processing is carried out with the data for each prescribed unit. Then the part 11 separates a bus interface part 12 from a system bus 2 to connect it to a diagnosis bus 3 when the abnormality is detected. This abnormality is informed to a central processing unit via the bus 3. Then the part 1 carries out a prescribed self-diagnosis. |
