<p>PURPOSE:To completely break chips by connecting a chip breaker having two cutters rotated in opposite directions and a peeling device to a cyclone dust collector through an ejector and a duct hose. CONSTITUTION:Each chip breaker 6 is composed of a rotary shaft 7 and cutting means fitted thereto, and the rotary shaft 7 has a driven portion 8 rotated by a suitable drive 9. There are provided around a peeling die 5 four chip breakers 6, each of which includes cutting means having four cutters 10 disposed around the rotary shaft 7. Therefore, skin produced from a workpiece by the peeling die 5 is continuously ejected circumferentially. During its travel, the skin is caught in recessed portions defined between the cutters 10 to be introduced to a chip breaking position, where it is completely broken by the opposite cutters 10.</p> |
