PURPOSE:To provent a lens from generating optical distortion and to easily execute the centering of the lens by forming a gap capable of absorbing the displacement of the lens due to temperature change at a room temperature between the diameter direction of the lens and a mirror frame and fixing the outer peripheral part of the lens with the inner periphery of the mirror frame through elastic adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A lens supporting part 14 for supporting the lens 11 is formed on the mirror frame 12 and the size of the inner periphery 12 of the mirror frame 12 in the diameter direction is set up so as to be stuck on the outer periphery of the lens 11 supported at the maximum temperature to be used for a lens holding device 10. Namely, the lens holding device 10 is heated at the maximum temperature to be used, e.g. 60 deg.C, the centering of the lens 11 is executed under the state that the outer periphery of the lens 11 is stuck on the inner periphery 12a of the mirror frame 12, and under the centered state, the outer peripheral part 16 of the lens 11 is tuck and fixed to the mirror frame 12 through adhesive 13. Thereby, it is unnecessary to use a centering operation tool and the difference of thermal expansion between the mirror frame 12 and the lens 11 can be absorbed by the elastic adhesive 13.
