This apparatus for balancing a rotating system 1 associated with means 2 for measuring the amplitude of its imbalance comprises: - a balancing assembly 3 adapted in order to be mounted on the rotating system 1 and comprising a receiver 12 and means 8a-11a, 8b-11b controlled by the receiver 12 for generating, during the rotation of the system, a variable corrective imbalance of determined amplitude MR and angular position theta , and - a remote control station equipped with members for manual selection and display of the values of the angular position and of the amplitude of the corrective imbalance to be generated as well as an emitter for transmitting to the receiver signals representing the said selected values. Application to balancing low-pressure rotors of bypass turbojet engines with high bypass ratios. <IMAGE>
