PURPOSE:To obtain a bit of information that is not affected by a shading phenomenon occurring in circumferential direction by giving previously the correction value to a RAM in response to the characteristics of a TV camera and outputting the values stores in response to the positions of each picture element within a picture through the RAM to store the result of operation carried out between said outputted value and the digitized picture information into a picture memory. CONSTITUTION:The correction signal is previously given to the 1st RAM 7a from a processor 14 and the RAM 7a outputs the correction value corresponding to the picture elements by the output of a horizontal picture element position counter 5. At the time of the input is through with a single scan line, a scan line synchronizing signal detecting part 4 detects the scan line synchronizing signal outputted from a TV camera 1. Thus the counter 5 is reset. So is with the operation carried out in the vertical direction. The values outputted from both RAM 7a and 7b are added together by the 1st ALU 8a. The result of said addition is added to the picture information digitized at an A/D converting part 2 by the 2nd ALU 8a. As a result, a picture memory 9 stores the picture information with which the circumferential shading is corrected.
