Apparatus for folding over and holding the flaps of cardboard boxes during adhesive bonding of the flaps. The invention relates to an apparatus intended to fold the base or lid flaps of cardboard cases over. It consists of a frame 1, 2 comprising a cage formed by the four small columns 6 inside which is placed, at different heights, a horizontal tray 7 receiving the boxes, and of a mechanical device comprising a control pedal 21, connnected to lever arms equipped with an orientable framework 15a, 15b, 16 forming a gripper, located on either side of the machine. These grippers fold the flaps of the boxes over, hold them and grasp the sides of the boxes during the adhesive bonding. The apparatus according to the invention is intended particularly for wine-bottle cartons and is adapted for the various formats used. <IMAGE>
