<p>PURPOSE:To prevent paper in a fixing unit from smoke emission by inhibiting the acceptance of a reset signal outputted from a control device when paper blocking of discharged paper is detected. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a printer 21, a CPU 23, a photosensitive drum 1, and a fixing device 12 and paper is sent from a cassette 10 by a roller 35 and detected by a paper feeding sensor 33. The paper is passed through the drum 1, and after being passed through a heat roller 31 in the fixing device 12, detected by a paper discharge sensor 32. When the paper is not detected by the sensor 32 within a prescribed time, the paper is discharged to a tray 34 is decided. When paper blocking of the discharged paper is detected, a CPU inhibits the input of a reset signal and stops current supply to the heat roller 31 stopped under its paper holding state, so that the paper can be previously prevented from smoke emission due to overheat and image recording can be safely executed.</p> |
