PURPOSE:To obtain a base for photographic paper which has a good cutting property and resistance to scratching by providing resin coating layers on both faces of raw paper, and constituting the coat layer on at least the rear side of a polyolefin having a prescribed viscosity, density, melt tension and mol.wt. distribution. CONSTITUTION:The coat layer on at least the rear side of the polyolefin resin coating layers provided on both faces of the base for the photographic paper consists of the polyolefin having the characteristic values of 0.8-1.8dl/g intrinsic viscosity, 0.940-0.970g/cm<2> density, 0.8-5.0g melt tension and 3.0-5.0mol.wt. distribution index. The polyolefin may be a copolymer obtainable by the copolymn. of >=2 alpha-olefins or may consist of the mixture composed of >=2 polyolefins, at least one polyolefin of which is obtd. by the copolymn. of the alpha-olefin. |
