PURPOSE:To enable printing even on a printing medium having difference in level such as a passbook, by forming a dot constituting part into a needle structure and protruding a dot impact part from the surface corresponding to the printing medium of a printing head. CONSTITUTION:A needle wire 5 is welded to the hammer spring 1a, which is mounted to a yoke 2 by a screw 3 and a nut plate 4, in a state supported by a wire holder 6. A needle guide 7 is provided to the leading end of the projection of a printing head for the purpose of guiding the wire 5. A magnetic circuit consisting of a permanent magnet 8, yokes 9, 10, 2 and a coil 11a for magnetic path switching is provided and, further, a head mask 12a having a hole 12a-1 for projecting the wire 5 is mounted through a spacer 13. A passbook 19 is fed to an arrow direction by drive rollers 20a, 20b and pressure rollers 21a, 21b and printed by the printing head arranged in opposed relation to a platen 22. In printing the thick part or thin part of the passbook 19, the platen 22 is allowed to fall and rise by a cam 23 to provide a proper head gap to perform printing. |
