PURPOSE:To clearly indicate the relation of paths of all tools by preparing a list of tools to be used under the plotting condition of coordinate values of work points, and selecting a group of tools at the same work point on the basis of a coordinate value so as to carry out plotting. CONSTITUTION:Data from a tape reader 2 is inputted into an NC machining program memory 8. Then, coordinate values of work points are inputted into a plotting condition memory 9 through a keyboard 3. The NC machining data is successively retrieved by an each item selecting circuit 11, and tools to be used are written in a tool list per coordinate value memory 12 to prepare a tool list per coordinate value. The tool to be used at the coordinate value specified from the data in the tool list per coordinate value memory 12 in accordance with the plotting condition is registered in a group tool selecting circuit 13. In a comparison/discrimination circuit 15, a tool in the NC machining data is compared with the group of tools to select the coordinate value of the conforming tool, and according to this, a plotting processor 16 plots a tool track.
