PURPOSE:To obtain indexing of a turret only through setting of a tool position and deceleration length by providing means for comparing a value of a reversible counter with a value obtained by subtracting the deceleration length from the selected tool position to discriminate a deceleration starting position. CONSTITUTION:When a tool is selected and valve actuating means B opens a flow regulating valve, a hydraulic motor M is actuated to rotate a turret A, and corresponding to the rotation of the turret A, a pulse coder C outputs pulses, which are counted in a reversible counter D. Discriminating means G reads out a selected tool position and deceleration length stored in memory means F and compares the value obtained by subtracting the deceleration length from the selected tool position with the value of the reversible counter D so as to discriminate a deceleration starting position. when the tool reaches the deceleration starting position, the valve actuating means B is actuated to gradually restrict the flow of pressure oil to the hydraulic motor M so as to decelerate the turret A, and at a selected position, flow to the hydraulic motor M is stopped to stop the turret A to the selected position.
