摘要 |
<p>PURPOSE:To easily form multicore of optical fibers by extracting a part of strands formed on the most outside layer of a newly laid or existing electric wire and replacing the extracted part by an OP unit. CONSTITUTION:One of the strands formed on the outermost layer of the laid optical fiber overhead ground wire OPGW1 is reversely twisted by a self-propelling machine or on a steel tower to extract it. Then, a laying apparatus 11 having a feeding drum including an OP unit 5 storing an optical fiber 2 in a hollow pipe 3 is travelled and the OP unit 5 is inserted into a recessed part 4a formed after extracting the strand. Provided that the extracted height (h) of a new OP unit 5 is selected as h/D<=0.3 when the outer diameter of the wire is D. In the laying method, the multicore formation of optical fibers or OPGW formation of normal OPGW can be attained.</p> |
