PURPOSE:To improve combination strength of a cutting blade with a base metal, by a method wherein a shank, formed with two parts of a large and a small part, is formed to a grinding blade formed by a carbide material, and the shank is joined with the opening of a cylindrical base metal by shaving. CONSTITUTION:A shank 3, having a large part 3a, a small part 3b, and a groove 3c formed in the periphery of a stepped part therebetween, is protruded from the base part of a cutting blade 1. The cutting blade 1 and the shank 3 are integrally formed by employing a high speed steel. Stepped holes 4a and 4b being larger by the size of (d) being large enough to allow joining of the shank 3 with a cylinder base metal 2 by shaving. A hole 4 of the base metal 2 is locally heated, and the shank 3 is pressed in the hole 4 by means of a press means. In this case, a shaving marging (d) is shaven to perform firm shaving joining. |
