The present invention relates to a method for vaporising a liquid in an atmospheric vaporiser operating with a heat-exchanging gas or gas mixture blown by a fan, comprising at least one array of tubular bundles 2, inside which the liquid or liquefied gas is evaporated by the passage of a heat-exchanging gas (or gas mixture) outside the tubes of the bundle. It is characterised in that the difference in temperature between the heat-exchanging gas entering and leaving the arrays 2 is at most 10 DEG C. It applies particularly to the case in which the liquid is composed of carbonic anhydride in the form of liquefied gas.
