PURPOSE:To align the firing angles of a plurality of semiconductor switch elements for forming a rectifier without regulation by converting the output voltage of voltage regulating means into a pulse signal, and counting the pulses in a predetermined number to generate a firing angle signal. CONSTITUTION:The output voltage of a voltage regulator 11 is input to a voltage/frequency converter 12, which converts it to a pulse signal of frequency corresponding to the voltage. This pulse signal is input to counters 14U-14W as a clock signal. Signals from voltage/logic signal converters 13U-13w are input to counters 14U-14W as reset signals. The counters 14U-14W output firing angle signals of thyristors corresponding to the phases.
