PURPOSE:To protect a light receiving part from stain or damage by constituting the light receiving part so as to be buried in a camera ]during non selection of a remote control mode. CONSTITUTION:The light receiving part 5 for receiving infrared ray from an external remote control unit 20 is disposed on the top part of the camera main body 1. The light receiving part 5 moves between two points set along the vertical direction (direction shown by an arrow A) of the camera and the respective positions are disposed so as to be suitably selected. Namely, the light receiving part 5 has a construction of a hop up system, what is called in which the first position of the light receiving part 5 buried in the camera by being pressed and the second position of the light receiving part 5 protruding slightly from the surface of the camera by being pressed again are repeated and can be optionally selected. The light receiving part 5 has an integrally disposed display means 5b consisting of an LED on a light receiving part integrated detection part 5a. The light receiving part 5 is supported by a shaft 6 and constantly energized upward by a compression spring.
