The device checks the state of charge of a battery, particularly one of the button or miniature type. The device has a trapezoidal cavity with a conducting bottom and a lateral conducting track insulated from the bottom enabling the various existing formats of miniature batteries to be inserted; the device has an internal reference source associated with an analog comparator, the result of the comparison being displayed on two indicator lamps.
