The invention relates to a device for reversing the direction of rotation of a three-phase electric motor supplied by a cable fitted with a standardised connector. In order to reverse the direction of rotation of a three-phase electric motor, it suffices to switch two supply phase wires and the apparatus mkes it possible, by inserting it between the plug connector and socket connector elements, to reverse the direction of rotation. The apparatus consists, in the lower part, of a three-phases-plus- earth plug connector member and, in the upper part, protected by an insulating cap, a three-phases-plus-earth socket connector member. Each plug contact is connected via a copper wire to a socket contact in the following order, A-a, B-b, C-d, D-c, the assembly being rendered integral by an insulating moulding 1 corresponding to electrical standards.
