Device for assembling a stand framework for a temporary display, characterised in that a core 19 is arranged in the slits of the uprights, this core having at least one heel 22 being arranged transversely in a dovetailed groove 81, at least one ball 29, held in an orifice of the core in such a fashion as to project into the dovetailed groove above this heel, and a finger 25 sliding in the core counter to a spring 28, this finger being provided with a notch 26 and being capable of assuming two positions, for one of which the notch 26 of the finger 25 is situated at the height of the ball 29 and allows its disengagement from the groove for the passage of the catch 7, whereas, for the other position, the finger 25 locks the ball 29 projecting into the groove 81 and keeps the catch either in a top position, above the ball, or in a bottom position between the heel and the ball. <IMAGE>
