PURPOSE:To always detect the movement of an ink film at a constant speed even if the winding diameter of an ink film supply shaft changes, by estimating the rotational speed of the ink film supply shaft at the time of printing and detecting the presence of the feed irregularity of the ink film. CONSTITUTION:When an ink film 35 is taken out, the present winding diameter of the ink film 35 can be calculated on the basis of the moving speed of the film measured by a film marker sensor 37 and the rotational speed of an ink film supply shaft 32 measured by a film supply shaft rotation sensor 34. The proper rotational speed of the in film supply shaft 32 during printing can be preliminarily calculated. Next, printing is performed but, by monitoring the rotation of the ink film supply shaft 32 at this time, it is confirmed whether the ink film is fed properly. |
