For drying plastic films 14 printed with ink or lacquers, both heated air and radiant heat are used in a dryer 10. A dryer 10 of this kind is characterised in that air-outlet nozzles 20 for the heated air 22 and radiant heaters 24 are arranged above the conveyor belt 12 at a distance therefrom. The heated air 22 and the radiant heat 26 are in this arrangement directed perpendicularly onto the plastic film 14. Furthermore, the radiator 24 is arranged between two air-outlet nozzles 20 which are at a distance from one another in the movement direction 16 of the conveyor belt 12. <IMAGE>
