PURPOSE:To manufacture a steel belt for binding, imparted with high rust-proofing property and lubricity with a small amount of surface-coating material, and enabling the smooth binding operation without staining the material to be bound, by coating a steel belt with a wax emulsion obtained by adding a specific amount of a hydrophilic silicone oil to a wax. CONSTITUTION:The objective steel belt for binding is manufactured by mixing (A) 100pts.wt. of a wax such as wax ester, etc. with (B) 0.1-100pts.wt. of a hydrophilic silicone oil (e.g. alcohol-modified silicone oil, polyether-modified silicone oil, carboxyl-modified silicone oil, etc.), and applying the resultant wax emulsion to the surface of a steel belt preferably by immersion process. |
