PURPOSE:To lessen dispersion of an inductance value with a view to enhancing its quality by forming a protecting layer having a constant outside dimension around an outer circumference of undercoating layer. CONSTITUTION:A drum core 15 wound by wires into a coil 16 is arranged between a pair of electrode connecting parts 12 which stand on a lead frame 20 placed on a substrate 21. The electrode connecting parts 12 and both ends 16A and 16A of the coil 16 are connected each other at outside ends of flanges 14 of its drum core 15. And an outer circumference of the above connecting parts are covered by an undercoating layer 24. Furthermore, a square frame 22, dimension of which is, in advance, set at given ones in terms of length, width, and height is prepared on the lead frame 20 and is filled with a thermosetting resin. Thus its thermosetting resin solidifies by heating for a designated time and forms a primary protecting layer 2 having a constant outside dimension.
