摘要 |
PURPOSE:To provide superior mechanical characteristics to a composite Al alloy material by dispersing a specified volume percentage of SiC whiskers in an Al alloy and extruding the resulting material under hydrostatic pressure at a specified temp. in a specified extrusion ratio so as to increase the bonding strength of the reinforcing fibers to the base material. CONSTITUTION:A billet contg. 15-30vol% SiC whiskers dispersed as reinforcing fibers in an Al alloy as a base material is formed and extruded under hydrostatic pressure at 300-500 deg.C in 10-75 extrusion ratio to obtain a fiber reinforced composite Al alloy material having superior mechanical characteristics such as a high modulus of elasticity and superior fatigue strength.
