In a heat-resistant, curable adhesive coating material based on reaction products of aliphatic carboxylic acids of the formula HOOC-(CH2)x-COOH where x = 4 to 36, from 10 to 60 mol % of the aliphatic dicarboxylic acids are substituted by tri- and/or tetracarboxylic acids having at least two adjacent carboxyl groups. An electrically insulated wire coated with the coating material comprises a conductive core 1, at least one electrically insulating base coat 2 which is baked thereon, and at least one bakable adhesive top coat 3 which is baked thereover. <IMAGE>
