PURPOSE:To reduce deterioration in picture quality by inputting the output of an image synthesizer for superimposing an overlay image of characters, etc., upon a digital medical image to a hard copy part as well. CONSTITUTION:A digital image processor wherein an image output device 6 is incorporated consists of an image input device 1 which inputs a digital image, a central processing unit 2, a terminal 3, an auxiliary input and output device 4 such as a printer, an external storage device 5 such as an optical disk, etc. The image output device 6 is equipped with a CRT output part 7 and the hard copy part 8. This CRT output part 7 inputs a control signal 9 and an address data signal 10 from the central processing unit 2 and displays image data on a CRT. Further, the hard copy part 8 inputs a timing signal 12 and a digital image signal 12 from the CRT output part 7 and controls the copy part 8 with a control signal 13 from the central processing unit 2 when taking a hard copy of received image data. |
