PURPOSE:To manufacture a titled member easily at low cost by providing a spiral body having a square cross section to the inside or outside of a pipe material and fastening the spiral body to the pipe material into one body by reducing or expanding the pipe material. CONSTITUTION:A screw bearing is obtained, by inserting a spiral body 1 having a square cross section into a pipe 2 having an inner diam. a little larger than the outer diam. of the body 1, and inserting a constraining member 3 for preventing the radial shrinkage of the body 1 into the inside of body 1, to radially reduce the outer peripheral surface of pipe 2 in the (a) direction by a die 4 or to draw the pipe 2 together with the mandrel 3. At that time, the pipe 2 is reduced to have the inner diam. smaller than the outer diam. of the body 1, at need. Further, a screw shaft is obtained, by inserting a spiral body 5 to the inside of a constraining member 7, and inserting a pipe 6 having an outer diam. smaller than the inner diam. of the body 5, and drawing an expanding jig 8 in the (b) direction. In this way, a member having a desired spiral part is easily manufactured at low cost. |
