PURPOSE:To improve the durability of printed matter through the prevention of ink separation by providing a means to impregnate and fix the ink transferred on the surface of recording paper using a platen roller and a thermal head. CONSTITUTION:A stroboscope of a stroboscope light-emitting means 17 is provided at a position in which the ink transferred in linear form by a thermal head 12 is moved with the rotation of a platen roller 11 and is effectively irradiated. The quantity of light of the stroboscope is composed in such a way that it may be adjusted with pulses according to the quality of recording paper. When color printing is performed, the first color ink 18 is transfer-printed on a recording paper 16, and then a stroboscope is flashed to melt the ink 18 so that is may be impregnated and fixed on the recording paper 16 as an ink 18a. After this, the same process is repeated using the second color ink transfer paper, thus obtaining a nice apparent, highly durable printed matter. |
