The electric luminaire, whose light exit opening accommodates enclosing means such as trough, louvre or the like, has for the purpose of holding these enclosing means locating springs which are provided with two mounting arms by means of which the locating spring can be fixed under bias on housing regions of the luminaire, while two retaining arms optionally serve to retain the enclosing means. In this case, the locating spring can be produced in one piece from a sheet-metal strip.
