The radial tyre having a tread which has a multiplicity of main grooves in the circumferential direction and can be subdivided into two outer zones, two intermediate zones and one central zone, has an elevated area (13) in order to compensate the ground pressure and thus to compensate and reduce the wear in at least one intermediate zone (12).
