In order to detect impermissible operating states of movable loading devices, pressure- or strain-measuring devices (18) which are arranged on a carriageway and describe the loading of the wheels (17) or the chassis are arranged near the support points of the movable device. The measured values are fed to a programmable processor or microprocessor (12) which determines the centroid of the point of action of the load.
