The invention relates to a silo for loose bulk material, which contains at least one intermedediate storage chamber and at least one main storage room connected to this chamber. For an expedient intermediate storage and optionally hardening or drying of the bulk material, each intermediate storage chamber is essentially formed by a conical floor and a likewise conically designed covering wall arranged at a distance above the floor so that an approximately conical-surface-shaped intermediate storage room for a restricted level of materials is produced.
