PURPOSE:To make it possible to use the function of an automatic original feed device even in a nonautomatic feed mode, by actuating an original discharge operating section to discharge a sheet original on an image reading section when an original discharge mode is selected in addition to a normal automatic original feed mode. CONSTITUTION:During automatic sheet original feed an original setter section B is made to fall down so that it makes in contact with the upper surface of an image reading section 2 in an automatic original feed device 1, and when an ADF key is depressed after sheet originals are set on an original setting tray 5, being stacked one upon another, the sheet originals are fed one by one onto an original bed glass pane 3 through a feed mechanism 9 and a conveying belt 16, and after the image being read, are set one by one on a discharge tray 17. Meanwhile, upon copying of an original such as an OHP sheet or the like, the original setter section B is raised upward and set manually onto the original bed glass pane 3, and then the setter section B is made to fall down so that it makes in press-contact with the glass pane d. In this condition an image is read, and then, when the ADF key is depressed, a since a sensor S detects no sheet original, an original discharge mode is selected so that the sheet original is discharged onto the tray 17. Thus, it is possible to use the automatic original feed device in part. |
