摘要 PURPOSE:To effectively activate a substrate to be plated which is easily corroded by acids by using an aq. strongly alkaline soln. contg. a water-soluble Pd compd., a stannous compd., and a specified stabilizer prior to electroless plating as a catalytic soln. for electroless plating. CONSTITUTION:A surface to be treated is previously activated, when Cu, Ni, Pd, Co, Ag, Au, etc., are electroless-plated on the surface of a material easy to be corroded by acids. From 0.001-0.05mol/l water-soluble palladium compd. such as palladium chloride and 0.02-2mol/l water-soluble stannous compd. such as stannous chloride are dissolved in a mineral acid such as hydrochloric acid to obtain the first soln. Polyvinyl alcohols or their derivatives or monosaccharides or their derivatives are dissolved in an aq. alkaline soln. of NaOH at >11 pH to obtain the second soln. A material to be treated is dipped in the liq. obtained by mixing and agitating both solns. for 3-20min, washed with water or promoted with an acid or alkali, and then again washed with water to activate the surface. An electroless-plated film having a uniform composition and excellent adhesion is formed in this way.
